Start using the CO2Bag 2-3 weeks after sowing. Pierce six holes in the top of the bag and hang it above your plants. In large greenhouses, it is best to hang the bag above the aisles. The CO2Bag only produces carbon dioxide at temperatures above 18 ºC. For storage, keep the sealed bag at a temperature below 18 ºC in a cool, dry room. How can you maximise the benefits? Thanks to the extra carbon dioxide in the air, plants can tolerate temperatures up to 3-5 ºC higher. However, this also means the plants need more water and nutrients. So don’t forget to provide enough water, nutrients and light to maximise the benefits of the CO2Bag. How long can you use the CO2Bag? When the contents of the CO2Bag come into contact with oxygen, it starts producing carbon dioxide. Note that it can take a few days before carbon dioxide production starts. Depending on the ventilation of the greenhouse, one CO2Bag produces carbon dioxide for a greenhouse of up to 5 m2 (50 ft2) for 1-3 months.
