The higher-spec Lumatek Zeus 1000W Xtreme PPFD CO2 LED is a linear multi-bar fixture that produces extremely high PPF values of 2925 µmol/s and a very high efficiency of up to 2.9 µmol/J.

With advances in technology and fixture performance, high-quality horticultural LED lighting is now a credible option that offers growers a considerable return on investment. The Zeus 1000W Xtreme PPFD CO2 produces an extremely high light intensity that requires the use of supplemental CO2 for those who want to grow on 1.5×1.5 m grow areas with short distances between canopy and light.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) supplementation

Using CO2 is not strictly necessary with this fixture, but if you want to run it without CO2, we recommend a greater distance between the canopy and the light to ensure optimal PPFD values for the growth phase. With this method, the expected optimal coverage area becomes 1.8×1.8 m, but with lower PPFD intensity levels.

Supplementing carbon dioxide (CO2) in a controlled environment can, if used correctly, increase the yield of your plants considerably. As a general rule, once you exceed 1000 µmol/s/m² PPFD you should work 1:1 with CO2 PPM – up to 1500. So at a maximum PPFD of 1500 µmol/s/m², the CO2 level would be 1500 PPM (slightly lower, 1400 PPM, is perhaps the safest value to start with).

The new Zeus line consists of high-quality Lumatek drivers and latest-generation top-bin LEDs from Lumileds and Osram, creating a full-spectrum light source that is ideal for the vegetative and flowering periods. Another new feature of this series is the Clear Glue protective cover technology on the LED bars, which ensures a higher light transmission of 99% without light loss, a longer diode life, extra corrosion resistance and high waterproofing to IP65. For basic maintenance, simply clean the bars with damp cotton.

For different cultivars, propagation and vegetative periods, the Zeus can be dimmed without losing efficiency. The highly efficient, low-current LED configuration with 10 LED bars reduces the temperature of the LEDs, increases output and improves light maintenance.
