What is Freeflow?
Freeflow is a Yucca schidigera extract product. Yucca is a desert plant used to cope with excessive heat stress and drought stress (UV stress and salt stress). When we take the extracts from a plant that has adapted to such harsh conditions, many of the stress-reducing components come along with the yucca extract.
Using yucca extracts gives your plants an extra boost in coping with adverse conditions.

When should Freeflow be used?
Freeflow can be used from the first week of growth until harvest.
Freeflow can be mixed with all Bionova nutrients, stimulators, minerals, universal products and substrates.
Freeflow can be used for watering and as a foliar spray.

Freeflow is a certified vegan organic product. Freeflow lowers the surface tension of liquids so they can penetrate more easily into soils or substrates that do not absorb water properly. Or, if a substrate is too dry or too wet, the yucca extract helps the water penetrate the substrate more easily. Freeflow is strongly recommended when spraying your plants, as it makes sure you cover every spot on the leaves, which is very important when spraying against pests. Yucca is rich in natural wetting agents called schidigera and saponins. Steroid-based saponins are natural chemicals that actually make water wetter and break the polarity of the water molecule.

WHAT’S INSIDE?
Yucca plant extract:
1. Yucca plant extract is a plant-based biostimulant that can be used to improve soil health and plant growth. Yucca improves permeability at the soil surface and the efficiency of nutrient use in the root zone. Yucca extracts increase the distribution of liquids, allowing higher infiltration rates and improved soil and plant performance.
2. Yucca contains many complex sugars that are also very beneficial for living soils. This creates the conditions for a diverse, living soil ecosystem. These sugars feed and energise soil microbes, so these beneficial organisms can multiply and work with the plants to obtain nutrients.

Saponins:
1. Saponins help get water and nutrients to where they benefit the plants most.
2. As well as saponins, yucca plant extracts contain other compounds that protect and improve the health and performance of plants. Polyphenols are antioxidants that have been found to help plants tolerate various stress conditions.
3. Polyphenols such as resveratrol, larixinol and yuccaols act as antioxidants and have plant-protective functions. These compounds scavenge free radicals and reduce the number of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the soil. These ROS act as signalling molecules when plants are under stress, and their accumulation can lead to plant loss. The antioxidants in yucca extracts allow plants to respond to stress while benefiting from the regulation of potentially harmful substances.

1. Increases the permeability of the plant cell wall and the distribution of liquids.
2. Protects against plant pathogens.
3. Reduces plant stress due to drought, heat and excessive salinity.
4. Increases soil infiltration and the uptake of water and nutrients.
