What is Ca15?
Calcium is commonly found in cell walls and membranes and plays a special role in ion reactions in plants. Calcium is transported in the plant through the water-conducting system (xylem).
In situations with high humidity or in a dense crop, the conduction rate is low and can lead to calcium deficiency.
A calcium deficiency leads to softened cell walls, which immediately shows in increased susceptibility to fungi and the dying off of young leaves and growing points. A calcium excess can also occur, leading to brown spots on the leaves.
When should Ca 15 be used?
Ca 15 should be given for deficiency symptoms and/or to strengthen the cell walls.
Ca 15 can be mixed with all Bionova nutrients, stimulators, minerals, universal products & substrates.
Ca 15 can be used for watering and as a foliar spray.
How do you use Ca 15?
Application via watering
In soft water areas, add 2-4 ml per 10 litres of water.
When using reverse osmosis water, add 2-8 ml per 10 litres of water.
A dosage of 1:1000 increases the amount of calcium by 3.2 mmol.
Application as a foliar spray
2.5-5 ml per litre of water.
