Athena IPW 0.9 L is an effective, plant-safe plant protection product that replaces IPM. It controls many soft-bodied insects and fungi on contact and penetrates leaf surfaces and hard-to-reach parts of the plant. This effectively prevents unwanted biotic diseases from taking hold, without synthetic pesticides or fungicides.

Effective action against pests and fungi

Athena IPW is based on 100 per cent organic microbial exudates and enzymes. These dissolve the protective membranes of insects and fungi. Because of this mechanical mode of action, no resistance can develop. This makes Athena IPW ideal for preventive and curative use.

Safe and fully organic

Athena IPW contains no artificial pesticides or fungicides and can be used safely from seedling to harvest. The product is an EPA 25(b) exempt product with proven safe ingredients and is therefore also suitable for professional and intensive growing systems.

Application and dosage

Athena IPW is applied as a foliar spray. The leaf surfaces should be wetted completely, top and bottom. Only spray when the lights are off or shortly before they come on.

Preventive, for a pest-free crop

• 15 to 24 ml per litre of water

• 2 applications per week

• Up to and including week 3 of flowering

Curative, for light infestations

• 24 to 32 ml per litre of water

• 3 applications per week

• Up to and including week 3 of flowering

For heavy infestations

• 32 ml per litre of water

• Spray for 2 days, pause for 1 day

• Repeat this schedule for 9 days

Tips for best results

• Make sure the plants are adequately watered before application

• Lower the temperature to about 22 degrees Celsius

• Keep the humidity at 55 to 65 per cent

• Only spray when intense lighting is switched off

• Start at the substrate and work up along the stem

• Wet the top and underside of the leaves thoroughly

• Allow 3 to 4 hours to dry before switching the lights back on
